The Latest

Hey! So in case you didn't know, i'm a teacher... :) so workwear can be a bittt of nightmare as I don't want to wear things that will get ruined and it needs to all be fairly flexible and conservative!
It's taken a while but i'm getting somewhere with it. I have LOVED the past few concoctions that i've put together and I wanted to share them with you.

The dress was from 'Pink Rose' in Macy's. It's such a great fit and i'm thinking of putting a belt around next time (?) The bag - which will be featured in a post sooooon - is Steve Maddenm and the leggings and my shoes are all from good old Primark :)
OK so I totally loved this outfit. Rediscovered an old Primark blazer over the summer and put it to good use! It's such a lovely bronzey colour so it was the perfect excuse to pair it with my leopard print Primarni pumps :)
The top and jeans were also Primark, the jeans fit like a glove and are aaaaamazing.
So what do you all think? Am I going in the right direction or is this just not working at all?!

So this was todays OOTD.
It all came from good old Primarni and comes in at £20 if not less! The shoes were only £4 (I know right!) and so obviously I now have them in 3 colours :)
I wore this to work today knowing that I was going to be teaching a (albeit boring) gymnastics lesson, so I needed something easy to move and stretch in.
These printed pants are PERFECT! It's the nearest thing to being in PJ bottoms without actually BEING in PJ bottoms, they're glorious.
I thought the outfit was a bit boring on its own and needed a bit of bling so I added my Disney Couture bangle and owl necklace from New Look.
I would take lovely photos but I can't seem to find my camera/I have noone to take them for me :( So you'll have to make do with this rubbish for now.
This just makes me think I want a bob, but then I remember what that was like last time!

 xxx Jess

It's finallyyyyy hereeeee!!!
I <3 Victoria's Secret PINK. I am obsessed with it and believe it or not it's one of the big things I get excited about when I go to Florida (After Disney of course!)
When VS came to the UK I was superrr excited as I had hoped it would also mean that PINK would too...however I've been let down with that :(
The website does provide International shipping but it does cost quite a bit.
The main reason I love the PINK range is that it's the epitome of stylish sports/casual. It was originally aimed at college students so as you can imagine they sell lots of trackies!

I did have to rein myself in as I would have blown ALL of my spending money in this shop because I am obsessed! Here are my amazing purchases :)

 I

As you can clearly see, one of the defining features of the PINK range is that it has the word PINK on everything! I love it because 9 times out of 10 the products aren't actually pink :)
I loved all of the sequins this year because they just made it that much better and I adore leopard print so I HAD to have the jumper! I discovered a love for yoga pants this year and I have exactly the same pair with a leopard print (again!) band, but they're in the wash...
On my first trip there, they had a deal on that if you spent a certain amount you automatically got a free bag and cup, so I didn't even have to pay for those!
I can't even say what my favourite thing is because I love it all :D
I would definitely say to give it a look if you like what you see and if you're holidaying to America anytime soon you NEED to shop here!
My new fashion obsession!
After seeing the likes of RHW, Cara and Olivia Palermo wearing this B-E-A-U-tiful Burberry blanket/cardi/cape/poncho creation, I was hooked. I've alway loved anything huge, comfy and cosy in Autumn/Winter and this ticks all of those boxes :)
Unfortunately my bank balance does not in any way support the £900 price tag so it was time to hit the high street and get creative!
Whilst what I found isn't 'technically' a cape as it actually has arm spaces, it's near enough and baggy enough to be. I found this beauty in Primark and it was £14. It's got a Greek style/chevron pattern on it which is either grey or black.

As you can see, it's mahoosive! (That's how I like it!) The fact it does have sleeves means it stays in the right place too which is great for me. I know it makes me appear 10 sizes bigger than I already am but it's getting cold so I don't care. It's fairly thick and has a really nice feel to it too.
Perfect buy for chucking on with jeans and a tee and being effortlessly stylish.
Verdict: If you too love cosy, warm things, buy this!
So last month I did this to try and inject a bit more of me in my blog and I am going to keep it up! These are my 3 favourite things right now, enjoy!
1) Prayer In C
Oh My God this song! I fell in love with the backing to it first and then her voice, just BEAUTIFUL! Such a chilled song and it's my new 'Summertime Sadness'

2) PINK - Victoria's Secret
One of the many things I love about trips to Florida is being able to have a super spree in PINK. If you don't already know of it, you need to! It's their fun, dressed down college student range but it covers trackies, sports bras, cute girly bits, yoga pants etc etc etc and they're all amazeballs. I will be posting my haul of goodies at some point soon but until then, browse the awesomeness of their website :)

3) Guardians of the Galaxy
Unless you have been on another planet this summer, there is no way that you can't have heard about GOTG. It's summers biggest blockbuster (c/o Marvel) and although it looks and sounds just a little strange, it's actually brilliant!
I'm a massive Marvel fan but I had no idea about GOTG characters or plot and went into it all a bit blind, which worked just great :) There's something for EVERYONE to enjoy so even if comic movies aren't really your thing, give it a try! (There's a giant walking talking tree and a talking raccoon, what's not to like.)

So there we are, my top 3 things right now! What are yours???
For a large portion of my life I have had a problem with my eyelashes. I used to have lovely lashes like normal people, but then I developed Trichotillomania.
http://www.nhs.uk/conditions/trichotillomania/Pages/introduction.aspx
I began pulling out my eyelashes to the point where I had next to none left and they didn't grow back for a long time. I felt horrible that I did it to myself and felt awful unless I wore mascara (Which when you have nothing to put it on, is REALLY hard FYI.)
After a little while they slowly began coming back, but even wearing mascara, I didn't feel right and no mascara seemed able to falsify anything in the lash department for me. This is what I tended to look like:

I saw recently on Instagram the new Benefit 'They're Real' range and everyone was raving about it. I'm not normally one to go with the hype but I was curious, I've always been a Benefit girl and had gone through a hardcore phase (before the pulling out) of wearing Bad Gal. As I was headed to America on holiday I decided that I'd go ahead and give it a try...

AND I'M SO GLAD I DID!!! LOOK!

I'm not usually one to coat on the mascara, I like to be able to open my eyes if I'm honest, and I stay true to that with this mascara.
It is so easy to wiggle on, and I actually seem to have eyelashes now! They look noticeably longer and fuller and thicker and give the illusion of 'natural' falsies. I am in love.
I feel SO much more confident about my eyes lately and it sounds really cheesy but it is because of this mascara, it's CRAZY! Also i've definitely been having less of an urge to pull them out which tbh is amazeballs. <3 you Benefit.

I also bought the push-up liner from the range as I needed a new one and I have never found one that I get on with really well, so again I thought i'd see how it went. Totally LOVED it.

I found it tricky to get to grips with at first and kept just blobbing gel on my eyes which wasn't fun, but after a few practices I think I've got it!
The angle makes it super easy to follow the shape of your eye and it gives a consistent coverage as you go.
I don't do 'barely there' liner and this is perfect for that as it's bold and dramatic. Creating flicks and wings are super easy too as you just angle the nib and go.
(Also used LOADS of my mascara here as I was going out...I felt like I was wearing falsies!)

Overall Benefit have made me the happiest girl in the world recently and I've definitely stepped up my make-up game haha. I've already asked for more as a Christmas pressie :)

Apologies in advance that this has taken so long! After coming back from holiday I've been busy with work and been trying to get back into a sleep cycle which is harder than it sounds.
Whilst on holiday it was the PERFECT time to review my recent purchases from:
http://thetreasurechestaccessories.bigcartel.com/
P.S: There are NO pictures of me in the bikinis as, well, I just don't want to subject anybody to the horror of my body lol.

  •  The neon tropical print bikini:
I was dubious at first about wearing this as it ties up everywhere! It has a halter tie, a tie (with thicker material) at the back of the top and looped ties on the sides of the bottoms. Having to tie it all myself as well was a worry haha. However, after securing the halter tie how I wanted it, it made the tie at the back much easier. And the bikini bottoms were actually super easy and stayed secure.
The bottoms are low rise and the bottom is cut a little higher than i'm used to but even so I felt completely comfortable and they didn't ride up a whole lot which was great! They weren't see-through in any way either. The top was maybe a little small for my bazoomas as it would decide at random points to give me under-boob, but it was only obvious to me as I could feel it. It was well moulded though and never once moved up too far when swimming etc.
I wore this a few times whilst on hols and it always dried quickly and retained shape. Very happy :)
  • The pearl bikini:
I absoloutely LOVE this bikini! (Well, the top much more so than the bottoms!) It's so pretty and unique. I did worry that this wouldn't cover my chest area as on the site it does warn you to order a size up as they can be tight. Luckily though it fit perfectly! I wouldnt have worn the top without the halter strap though as they needed extra support. The tie at the back was a thick tie which was great and easy to do and the halter strap was adjustable.
The bottoms I have to say I wasn't the biggest fan of. Like the neon bikini they are low cut and higher rise at the back than i'm used to (I like EVERYTHING covered lol) and I just didn't feel hugely comfortable in them. It's easy enough with the top to mix and match though which is exactly what I did!
Again, like the neon bikini, I wore the top fairly often and it dried quickly and retained shape really well (no pearls have come off either). The top stayed up in water and I even braved it in the water parks!!!

  •  The tassel kimono:
I'm not going to lie, I didn't get a chance to wear this yet! Not going on a 'beach' holiday (I went to Florida...) There weren't many places to wear this and the hotel had a strict policy when it came to walking back in from the pool. I have tried it on and it's really versatile so if I have any further holidays that involve a beachier atmosphere, it's coming with!

  •  The stone choker necklace:
I love this! I had so many compliments on this it was crazy. It's such an easy simple piece to wear but it really jazzes up a basic outift. It's also quite 90's ish which I love too :) I am terrible with jewellery and will often react and be left with a green mark, but I didn't get that either! Very happy :)

  •  The sunglasses:
I brought these along as my back-up sunnies and it's a good thing I did as my other pair broke! While I'm used to HUGE sunglasses (as I have a bump on my nose that means smaller ones don't sit right) these were actually great! They didn't aggravate my bump (whoo!) and they gave good protection from the sun :) What more could you want?!
P.S. I take sunnies off in pics so apologies for no sunnies photos.

Overall I am super duper happy with all of my Treasure Chest Accessories pieces and will definitely be holiding on to them and wearing them as much as possible! They are on IG and the link to the website is at the top of this post.
